The Spaggiari tender cranes are telescopic cranes specially designed for launching and retrieving tender on mega yachts. They are machines ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 Kg and an arm reaches up to 10m. The machine consists of three main parts, one of which is fixed, to be bolted to the structure of the vessel through bolted joints, and two movable. The three elements are called “fixed member”, ”first extension”, “second one”. Below the details of their specific features. Fixed member The fixed member is the element that is attached to the lower deck extrados of the vessel, inside the compartment. It is made of carbon steel SSAB Domex © (carbon steel), and is equipped with traversing motor for handling of the main extension. First extension The first extension is made up of an AISI 316 stainless steel folded steel frame equipped with external guides for sliding of the shaft , and with internal guides supporting the second shaft. The guides are made of C45 steel, induction tempered and nickeled plated. All mechanical components - wheels, bearings, shafts - are made of stainless steel AISI 420. Second extension The second extension consists of a stainless steel folded box section AISI 316. Inside the structure are housed the lifting cylinder (stainless steel and chrome plated stem, carbon steel sleeve) and the second extension motor. Also in this case, all the mechanisms are made of stainless steel AISI 420. Hook and pulleys made of stainless steel AISI 316 L and AISI 420 complete with cable. The transport chains are made of carbon steel and are equipped with a surface protection treatment that is particularly suitable for working in marine environments. The lifting kinematics is made with a cylinder actuated by an hydraulic control unit. This cylinder is connected to the hydraulic control unit for the operation of the door and located in the garage; A special reel guarantees the passage of the flow.
