Glukosesirup ist ein wichtiger Rohstoff für die Süßwaren- und Marmeladenindustrie, sowie für die Feinbäckerei und die Konfisserie. Der 45° Glukosesirup lässt sich mit der bloßen Hand zur Kugel formen, da er durch seinen höheren Trockenmassegehalt fester ist. Er kann somit z.B. gut für Kuchenglasuren, Pralinen, Modellierschokolade, Bonbons und Speiseeis verwendet werden.
