El propileno se utiliza en la producción de mesas y sillas de plástico, utensilios de cocina de plástico, producción de anillos, industria automotriz, producción de cajas de plástico, industria de la construcción (aislamiento, croché, alfombras, pies cónicos, etc.), cubos, macetas y en diversas industrias de juguetes. El monómero del propileno es el polipropileno, que se obtiene mediante la polimerización de solventes químicos. Es extremadamente resistente a ácidos y bases. Disponemos de variedades en natural, blanco lechoso y de colores. La coloración se realiza bajo pedido.
