Laj’s legacy dates back to 2010 when it started manufacturing paper bags in its home garage. Back then they only had one paper bag printing machine. The company initially focused on production of paper bags in small amounts in order to appeal to small and medium-sized businesses in need of customised and affordable paper bags. After years of hard work, the firm has managed to gain traction on numerous foreign markets. As a result, it purchased new business premises in the heart of Maribor city which nowadays represent a core of its production process. These day we have a capacity to manufacture up to 25, 000 bags a day, mostly by using inputs with relatively low environmental impacts such as recycled paper. Our core markets include Germany, France, Belgium and Denmark but we also derive a substantial portion of our revenue from the local market. Ever since our inception ten years ago, we endeavour to make the world a better place through reducing our reliance on plastic bags and related products and consequently contributing to a cleaner and pollution-free environment.

Our confectioner Ana likes to create different, sometimes very daring desserts, where she uses atypical ingredients such as lavender, cactus, black vanilla, olive oil and rosemary.

Our extrusion lines with twin screw and 4.0 technology, produce same foam strength and quality at lower density. Best product uniformity in sheet thickness and density. Alemo’s conversion machines portfolio stands out with the following products. In-line automatic coreless (re)winder, Cutting and bag making machine/pouch/sheeting machine. Cutting and corner making machine/profile sealer and plank lamination line/bonding machine. Alemo also supplies XPS extrusion line for XPS decorative profile production (cornice/skirting/ceiling moulding). Along with the best energy saving extruders available on the market, you may choose multiple downstream options, as for example: in-line trimming and longitudinal cutting, in-line pre-cutting, automatic hotmelt gluing of cores, in-line perforation. Fast die-changing system (without extruder stop), in-line pipe/profile embossing & coating system. Moreover in-line tape/liner application unit, transversal cutting unit, in-line pipe coating unit.
