Durch ihr aerodynamisches Design, das Vorhandensein von drei Klappen und das Weglassen von physischen Schwenkachsen für die Klappen soll die TRIFLO-Klappe die folgenden drei Kriterien erfüllen: - Eine Produktlebensdauer, die mindestens derjenigen des Patienten entsprechen muss, um eine zweite Operation zu vermeiden. - Die künstliche Klappe darf die Bildung von Thrombosen nicht begünstigen, um dem Patienten die Einnahme von Antikoagulanzien zu ersparen. - Der Betrieb muss so leise wie möglich sein, damit der Patient und seine Umgebung weder tagsüber noch nachts gestört werden. Das TRIFLO-Gerät befindet sich in klinischer Testphase und ist nicht für den Verkauf zugelassen.

Novostia, une startup suisse fondée en 2017, a confié à MPS la fabrication de sa valve artificielle TRIFLO, prothèse aortique révolutionnaire sur plusieurs plans. Grâce à son design aérodynamique, la présence de trois volets et l’absence d’axes de pivotement physique de ces derniers, la valve vise à satisfaire les trois critères suivants : - Une durée de vie du dispositif qui doit être au moins égale à celle du patient afin d’éviter une seconde opération. Cette durée de vie correspond à plus de 30 millions d’ouvertures et de fermetures des volets par an, sans fuite, sans blocage, fissure, rupture ou échappement des volets. - La valve artificielle ne doit pas favoriser la formation de thromboses pour éviter au patient de prendre des anticoagulants. - Le fonctionnement doit être le plus silencieux possible afin de ne pas déranger le patient ni son entourage, de jour comme de nuit. Le dispositif TRIFLO est en essai clinique et n'est pas approuvé à la vente.

Novostia, a Swiss startup founded in 2017, has entrusted MPS with the manufacture of its TRIFLO artificial valve, a revolutionary aortic prosthesis on several levels. Thanks to its aerodynamic design, the presence of three leaflets and the absence of physical pivot axes for the leaflets, the TRIFLO valve aims to satisfy the following three criteria: - A device lifespan at least equal to that of the patient, to avoid the need for a second surgical procedure. This means more than 30 million flap openings and closures per year, with no leaks, blockages, cracks, ruptures or flap escapes. - The artificial valve must not lead to thrombosis, so that patients do not need to take anticoagulants. - Operation (flap opening and closing, blood flow through the valve) must be as silent as possible, so as not to disturb the patient or those around him, day or night. The TRIFLO device is in clinical trial and is not approved for sale.
