Since 1972, Gordopack GmbH has been a medium-sized company in the field of production, processing and distribution of PE films, based in Lindlar in the Oberbergisch district. We use forward-looking technologies for our products, manufacturing and organisation. As a BRC-certified company, we produce films for food and pharmaceuticals according to GMP standards as well as for other products and goods. The topic of "sustainability" is close to our hearts. That is why we have set ourselves the goal of producing at least 30% of our production volume from circular plastics by 2025. All our products are 100% recyclable. Our GP-Sustain product range provides hygienic protection for agricultural, food, pharmaceutical and service applications such as self-service counters. Our GP-Loop product range consists of 30%, 50% or 70% circular plastics depending on customer requirements, and is used for product packaging, transportation, industry and retail, as well as for the protection of any form of goods. We want to protect our environment with our packaging solutions, and show that film packaging with the right raw material and design can make a contribution to this. Laj’s legacy dates back to 2010 when it started manufacturing paper bags in its home garage. Back then they only had one paper bag printing machine. The company initially focused on production of paper bags in small amounts in order to appeal to small and medium-sized businesses in need of customised and affordable paper bags. After years of hard work, the firm has managed to gain traction on numerous foreign markets. As a result, it purchased new business premises in the heart of Maribor city which nowadays represent a core of its production process. These day we have a capacity to manufacture up to 25, 000 bags a day, mostly by using inputs with relatively low environmental impacts such as recycled paper. Our core markets include Germany, France, Belgium and Denmark but we also derive a substantial portion of our revenue from the local market. Ever since our inception ten years ago, we endeavour to make the world a better place through reducing our reliance on plastic bags and related products and consequently contributing to a cleaner and pollution-free environment.
